Two men have been taken to hospital and one was arrested during the course of two separate disturbances at the same property in Dublin city centre.

The incidents are understood to relate to a dispute over the occupancy of the building on Ormond Quay.

The first disturbance happened around 10.30pm on Friday night. It is understood two groups of men were involved in clashes.

Uniformed gardaí and Garda Public Order Unit members were deployed to manage the situation.

The Garda said the incident was brought under control after the arrival of gardaí and a number of men were subsequently stopped and searched.

One man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of public order offences and was subsequently released without charge.

A number of items were seized by gardaí following the disturbance.

Gardaí then responded to reports of a further disturbance at the property shortly before 1pm on Saturday.

Following that incident, two men were taken from the scene to the Mater Hospital to be treated for injuries. It is understood neither sustained life-threatening injuries.

Gardaí at Store Street station are investigating the circumstances of both incidents.
