A viable explosive device has been made safe in Co Galway overnight.
According to Gardaí, they received reports of the discovery of the device in the Knocknacarra area at approximately 7pm on Friday evening.

Upon inspection by the Army EOD team, the device was deemed viable and was removed for destructions and analysis.
Gardaí say investigations into the device are ongoing.
