A number of warnings have been issued due to the sudden rise in temperatures.

"Plan your activity carefully and only swim on lifeguard protected beaches of on areas with which you are familiar," he said.
The Department of Agriculture has also issued an orange fire notice, lasting until midday on Monday.
"Due to current weather patterns a high fire risk is deemed to exist in all areas where hazardous fuels such as dead grasses, heather and gorse exist," the department said.
