The status yellow alert from Met Éireann is valid for Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal until 9pm tonight.
Met Éireann says there will be further falls of heavy rain today with localised flooding and hazardous driving conditions.

A yellow rain warning for Armagh and Down in Northern Ireland has also been issued by the UK Met Office.
The warning advises that heavy rain is likely to cause some flooding and travel disruption, and is valid until midnight tonight.
