Team Ireland's latest Olympic medal win by Daire Lynch and Philip Doyle, Bishop Eamon Casey abuse allegations and Olympics boxing news all feature on Ireland's front pages on Friday.

The Irish Times leads with a photo of Daire Lynch and Philip Doyle's Olympic bronze medal for Team Ireland in rowing, an abroad story about the prison swap that took place yesterday with Russia, which the US and Germany welcome, and a story on the State failing to meet asylum seekers' needs. They also have a story about how US neo-Nazis create posters for Ireland's far right.

The Irish Examiner also features pictures of Team Ireland's latest Olympic medallists, with a story on how Garda body cameras could be abused by rogue gardaí, but if so, it will not be tolerated, and a story on Valerie's Law.

The Irish Independent also leads with a photograph of Lynch and Doyle's medal win, and a story on RTÉ earnings.

The Echo leads with complaints at Hiqa centres for older people, and Cobh councillors hoping to avoid preschool closures.

The Herald leads with Team Ireland's latest bronze medal in rowing, plus Daina Moorehouse's shock boxing loss and news of a suspect being arrested after a murder in Drimnagh last May.

The Irish Daily Mail also leads with boxing news, and inheritance tax cuts being expected in the budget.

Both the Irish Daily Star and Irish Daily Mirror lead with stories on the investigation into alleged sexual abuse by Bishop Eamon Casey following RTÉ's Primetime documentary on the issue last week.

TIn the UK, the 17-year-old boy charged with the murders of three girls killed in a knife attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport has been named, with the story taking the front page of many British newspapers this Friday.

Images of Axel Rudakubana, who turns 18 on August 7th, appear on the front pages of a large chunk of the British dailies, with the Metro, and the Daily Express running photos alongside headlines that claim he has been “unmasked”.

The UK Daily Mirror and The Daily Telegraph also report on the Southport stabbings, with Sir Kier Starmer vowing to combat rioters who have wrought havoc across Britain in recent days.

The Guardian leads on a beefed-up police presence, with 19 further protests planned across the UK in the wake of the Southport stabbings.

The UK Times and The UK Independent look abroad for their fronts, with the two splashing on the biggest prisoner swap since the Cold War.

The Financial Times and the i both opt for headlines concerning the economy.

The UK Daily Mail leads on industrial action by doctors, which will see some GPs cut their appointments by half.

Lastly, the YK Daily Star splashes with a unique proposal to “save the world”.
