Ireland's sporting triumphs in football and rugby dominate the front pages of Saturday's newspapers, with stories relating to the upcoming general election and the search for a missing couple in north Co Dublin also featuring.

The Irish Times leads with Ireland coming out on top against Argentina in rugby, as well as the results of an opinion poll which indicated that voters would prefer a Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil coalition. Sinn Féin were shown to be the least-favoured party to be in government.

The Irish navy shadowed a Russian spy ship as it loitered over vital Irish Sea pipelines and cables, the Irish Examiner reports. The paper also features news of plans being lodged for 550 homes at a Dunkettle site on its front page.

The Echo reports on a man being jailed for over 17 years for the sexual abuse of his four daughters over a period of more than 15 years.

General election-related stories dominate the front page of the Irish Independent, as well as an interview with the mother of a girl who was stabbed in Parnell Square.

The Irish Daily Mail's front page features tensions between Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil relating to a law that would see the introduction of electronic tagging for sexual offenders introduced, with Fianna Fáil stating that the law has been sat on for 18 months.

Ireland's sporting victories are the main star of the Irish Daily Star's front page, as well as a search being conducted by gardaí north Co Dublin in relation to a couple who are missing and believed to be murdered.

The Herald also reports on the search for the missing couple, as well as the conflicting stories from Conor McGregor and his rape accuser.
