A woman is due in court this morning in connection with the circulation of images and details on social media claiming to identify a teenage boy who was found guilty of the murder of Ana Kriégel.
A court order was in place preventing the two 14-year-old boys involved in the case from being named under the Children's Act.
The Act prohibits the identification of minors accused or convicted of a criminal offence.
The woman is the first person to face prosecution following a Garda investigation and is due to appear before a sitting of Waterford District Court this morning.
Ana Kriégel was killed in May 2018 and following a lengthy trial, spanning from April 29th to June 18th, 2019.
The two accused, referred to as Boy A and Boy B were found guilty, making them the youngest people to be convicted on murder in the history of the State.
