Met Éireann say yesterday was the hottest day of the year so far.
23.1 degrees was recorded at Newport Furnace in County Mayo, while similar high temperatures were seen at Shannon Airport and Phoenix Park in Dublin.
The warm spell is set to continue this week, with temperatures expected to reach 18 degrees today.
