The figure made from white chocolate and glitter is the work of chocolatiers Dawn Jenks and Donna Oluban and took almost two days to shape, using 15kg of chocolate.
Explaining the process, Ms Oluban said: “This is our Halloween creation, it’s a skeleton bride and she’s made all of white chocolate with some lustre on top.
“We’ve created her using a bowl of chocolate and two jugs of chocolate and another jug to make the bones for the arms.
“We’ve got the skull that we recycled from a previous project, then some intricate piping for the hair.
“The ruffles were made pouring white chocolate on to the table and scraping it up to create the ruffled effect.
“I’ve got very cold hands, so we just stuck them (the ruffles) on and they stayed where they are.
“She’s got intricately carved little bony feet and some nice little flowers that she’s holding.
“We’ve got lustre all over the creation, creating that white luminous effect, and on the flowers we’ve used some black glitter and some black lustre as well to make it look like there’s a bit of mould growing on the leaves and flowers.”
The most technically difficult part was the ruffles “as you’ve only got a short amount of time to get them on before they melt”.
She added that visitors had been “peeking through the window of the workshop” to catch an early glimpse of the spooky bride – who staff have nicknamed Barbara.
The Birmingham attraction’s newest resident will be on general display until November 20th.
