Roy Keane paid tribute to his "beautiful and loyal" dog Jet after his family pet died.
The Manchester United legend shared pictures of his dog Jet with his family following the death of the German Shepherd.
"Thanks Jet for being so beautiful and loyal to our family. We will miss you,” he wrote.
Keane, 52, has loved dogs for his whole life and is an ambassador for Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.
After Keane fell out with Mick McCarthy and left the 2002 World Cup camp, his Labrador Retriever Triggs became famous as she accompanied him on walks near his Manchester home.
Jet featured alongside Keane in a number of ads for Adidas’ Spezial clothing campaign.
Jet also took part in an interview Keane did with his former teammate Gary Neville. He shared a picture of the trio on Instagram at the time captioned: "Went for a walk with my best mate…..shame Gary had to come along."
The first post on Keane's account, which now boasts 2.1 million followers, also included Jet.
He captioned the picture: "A man’s best friend."
