Newport face Leinster for the third time this season, when they meet in the Celtic League quarter-final on Friday night.
The Black and Ambers have twice been pipped at the post by the Dubliners in the Heineken Cup.
But Newport's Shane Howarth is seeking to spearhead a Dublin revenge mission.
"It would be great to finally put one over them and we're certainly going over there to have a right go at them," said Howarth.
"There's no doubt we are due a win against Leinster and hopefully we can finally achieve it."
He believes that if the Rodney Parade lights had gone out for 20 minutes in the home leg last month, Newport would have taken the much prized scalp of the Irishmen.
"I thought we were incredibly unlucky when the lights went out at Newport. It really took the sting out of the game at a time when we were playing the better rugby.
"But these things occasionally happen in rugby and you just have to get on with it. The whole team are devastated by the recent results in the Heineken Cup and are determined to bounce back."
