Justice Minister John O’Donoghue has published a report into claims that statements were tampered with in the 1970’s arms trial.

Almost two months after the allegations were made in a television documentary, the report has concluded that it is unlikely that any evidence was suppressed.

John O’Donoghue says that he cannot rule out the allegations completely but he admitted that the possibility was remote.

Mr O’Donoghue added that some first hand evidence was missing from the report because of the death of some witnesses and some documents could not be found.
