Tesco treating unions 'with contempt'

Unions representing striking Tesco workers have accused the company of contempt over its failure to formally send last week's pay offer to them.

Unions representing striking Tesco workers have accused the company of contempt over its failure to formally send last week's pay offer to them.

Tesco said last week at the Labour Court that they were committed to formally issuing the proposals the following day.

However, both Mandate and SIPTU say they are still waiting.

Mandate spokesman John Douglas said his union is committed to balloting its members on the deal.
