IMPACT to resist Western Health Board job cuts

IMPACT has warned the Western Health Board that its members will strong resist the 200 lay-offs announced by the board yesterday.

IMPACT has warned the Western Health Board that its members will strong resist the 200 lay-offs announced by the board yesterday.

The union said it was not consulted about the job cuts, adding that the board has no plan for handling the problems that will arise.

IMPACT is due to meet managers of the health board next week and spokesman Gerry Dolan demanded that the Government consult with unions before any more cuts are made.
