The crash, near the capital Ankara, came as the nation prepared to bury the 34 dead from Wednesday’s crash.

On board the Spanish built CASA CN-235 today were two Spanish pilots, a Spanish technician and a Turkish technician.

The aircraft crashed a few minutes after it took off from a base outside Ankara.

Wednesday’s accident took place near Malatya, in southern Turkey.

The plane was one of eight that were being modified for use by the navy and was on its final test flight, according to reports.
