Secondary school students in various counties across the country are staging their second walkout in a week.

Secondary school students in various counties across the country are staging their second walkout in a week.

Walkouts have been reported in schools in Mayo, Galway, Cork, Tipperary and Dublin as students express their frustration with the five-month-old teachers' pay dispute.

ASTI members are back at work today after two days of industrial action and are planning three more days next week.

The Government has committed itself to engaging in any talks convened by the Labour Court, but has so far refused to agree to ASTI calls for face-to-face discussions.
