The Republic of Ireland have dropped six places to 42nd in the FIFA world rankings and Stephen Kenny's side will be in the third pot in the European qualifying draw for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The draw takes place on Monday week and Stephen Kenny's side could be facing a very tough group.
Northern Ireland fell four places to 45th while England are in fourth place.
Belgium are ranked as the best team in the world currently followed by world champions France and Brazil in third.

Based solely on rankings, the best group Ireland could draw would be the Netherlands (14), Romania (37), Luxembourg (98), Andorra (151) and San Marino (210).
