Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is set for an extended run in the Liverpool first team, after first-choice goalkeeper Alission picked up a hamstring injury.
Alisson will likely be out of action until after the international break in mid-November due to his injury, which he sustained against Crystal Palace last weekend.
It means Kelleher is likely to play seven games, including the Premier League matches against Chelsea, Arsenal, and Aston Villa, as well as the Champions League ties with Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen.
Kelleher is currently with the Republic of Ireland squad, who are training at the match venue in Helsinki on Wednesday morning ahead of Thursday night's fixture against Finland in the Nations League.
Manager Heimir Halgrimsson has a 23-player panel to pick from as the team look for their first points in League B.
