Derry GAA have ruled out the possibility of former manager Rory Gallagher returning as boss of the county's senior footballers.
Derry has been without a manager since Mickey Harte's departure earlier this year.
Gallagher left the Derry job in May of 2023 after allegations of abuse were made by his estranged wife, Nicola.
Gallagher denied the allegations. He was issued a temporary ban by the Ulster GAA last September, however that was subsequently overturned by the Disputes Resolution Authority (DRA) in February.
In a statement earlier on Friday, Gallagher's lawyers said that he "fully intends to return to inter-county management in the near future" but the Derry County GAA subsequently clarified that any return will not be with their county team.
Gallagher has been coaching with Monaghan side Corduff recently.
