The Republic of Ireland have been drawn in the same group as England in League B of the UEFA Nations League.
They will be joined by Greece and Finland in Group B2, in a difficult group for Ireland, who are still without a manager since Stephen Kenny's departure.
The last time Ireland faced Gareth Southgate's side was a friendly in November 2020, with a 3-0 win for England in Wembley.
England were relegated to League B of the Nations League after a difficult campaign in 2022.
This will be the first competitive meeting between the sides since 1991, when Niall Quinn scored in a 1-1 draw.
Ireland will face familiar opposition in Greece, who they lost to home and away in the European qualifiers. Greece manager Gus Poyet was one of the names linked to the Ireland job.
Meanwhile, the last time Ireland faced Finland was in the 2020 Nations League, when they suffered 1-0 defeats home and away.
All six fixtures will take place in 2024, with the first round of games getting underway between September 5th-7th.
