Fleetwood are currently second-last in the table, so it was a huge victory for the club.

Lawal's goals gave him a rating of 8.7 in stats compiled by Sofascore. Meanwhile, Kilkenny's performance led to a rating of 8.4.

Lawal, 20, can play in defence and midfield and will undoubtedly be in contention for a senior Republic of Ireland call up soon. He has nine Under-21 caps.

Also in League One, Corey O'Keeffe scored for Barnsley in their 4-2 away victory over Wycombe.

His performance led to a rating of 8.1.

Shadrach Ogie scored Gillingham's first goal to set them on their way to a 2-0 away victory over Salford City in League Two.

Ogie, 22, has played for Ireland at Under-18 and Under-19 level, and his performance at the weekend saw him receive an 8.0 rating.

You have to look further down the top 10 for a top flight player, as Andrew Omobamidele had a rating of 7.6 for Nottingham Forest, as he nearly helped them to a clean sheet against Liverpool before a last-second Darwin Nunez winner.

Here are the top 10 Irish performers from the weekend:
