As the Irish women's side prepare for their double header against Albania in the Nations League, players are hitting form at just the trightime for Eileen Gleeson's side.

In the Women's Super League, it was a mixed weekend for Irish players, with Katie McCabe's two goals securing a 2-1 victory for Arsenal over Bristol.

McCabe's long range goal in the first half was one of the goals of the season, as Arsenal were made to work by a tough Bristol side, with Megan Connolly starting for Bristol.

Izzy Atkinson was a second half substitute for West Ham as they scored a late equaliser to draw with Liverpool. Niamh Fahey and Leanne Kiernan are still out with injury.

It was a difficult game at Walton Hall Park for Courtney Brosnan and Heather Payne, as Everton suffered a 5-0 defeat to a clinical Manchester United side. Megan Campbell was an unused substitute for Everton, while Aoife Mannion is still injured for Manchester United.

In the championship, it was a successful day for Birmingham's Irish contingent as they were 5-2 winners over Watford. Lily Agg was amongst the goals, with Lucy Quinn providing three assists, and Jamie Finn came on as a second half substitute.

Grace Moloney kept a clean sheet as London City Lionesses were 1-0 winners over Southampton, while Saoirse Noonan scored both goals as Durham were 2-1 winners over Blackburn Rovers, with Tyler Toland scoring the goal for Blackburn.

In Scotland, Caitlin Hayes scored for Celtic in their 2-1 defeat to Rangers in the old-firm.
