Spectators will be excluded from games following Taoiseach Micheál Martin’s announcement on Tuesday that all sport was to take place behind closed doors as the country attempts to supress the spread of Covid-19.
Fans have been asked by clubs and county boards to adhere to the public health guidance and not attempt to attend matches in the Republic.
Meanwhile, in the North crowds of up to 400 have been allowed by Ulster GAA as the Northern Irish executive decided not to include outdoor sporting events in amended crowd restrictions.
Today's action
In the Mayo Senior Football Championship, Westport will face Castlebar Mitchels at 5pm, while Breaffy gear up for their Round Three clash against Charlestown Sarsfields.
The Dublin Senior Hurling Championship is heating up, with the quarter finals taking place today and tomorrow.
In today’s matches, Na Fianna play Faughs in the first of the double-header at Parnell Park, with St Vincent’s facing Ballyboden St Enda’s in the later throw-in at 5.30pm.
The remaining two matches will see St Brigid’s take on 2018 All-Ireland Senior Club Champions Cuala, followed by Kilmacud Crokes against Lucan Sarsfields.
Hurling will also be the day’s attraction in Clare, as Broadford play Sixmilebridge, followed by Ballyea against Kilmaley.
The Round Two fixtures will both be broadcast live on RTÉ 2.
Across the Shannon, Round Two of the Limerick Senior Football Championship will see Monaleen face St Kieran’s in Mick Neville Park at 4pm, as Ballylanders play Galtee Gaels in Kilmallock at the later time of 6pm.
In Waterford, Lismore will be looking to continue their recent form as they come up against last year’s Senior Hurling champions, Ballgunner in the county semi-final.
Tomorrow Mount Sion will play Passage to decide who takes the second spot in the final.
A busy weekend of football in the Kingdom, as seven fixtures are down to be played today and tomorrow in the Kerry Senior Championship.
Today, St Brendan’s Board play West Kerry at Austin Stack Park at 3pm, Mid Kerry face Kilcummin in Fitzgearld Stadium at 5pm, Dingle are at home to Templenoe at 6pm, while Feale Rangers and East Kerry round out the day’s action in Listowel.
