Wexford Youths have the chance to cut Shelbourne's lead at the top of Women's National League to five points this evening.

To do that, they need a win over Galway, but it's currently scoreless at Eamonn Deacy Park.

Natalie Long, Aifric Keogh, Tara Hanlon and Eimear Lambe were a length behind the boat of Great Britain with Romania in third place.

Swimming

Mona McSharry finished fifth in the final of the Women's 100-metre breaststroke at the European Championships in Rome this evening.

Danielle Hill was sixth in her group and 11th overall in the 50m backstroke semi-final just missing out on a place in the finals.

Meanwhile, Darragh Greene was one second outside the qualifying time for the 200m backstroke finals.

The Longford native ended up 13th after today's session.
