Manchester City edged their noses back in front of Liverpool in the Premier League title race after a 4-0 win at Leeds. Rodri headed City into a half-time lead and further goals from Nathan Ake, Gabriel Jesus and Fernandinho lifted them back to the top of the table.
Earlier, Liverpool had moved to the summit of the league after their 1-0 win at Newcastle. In the afternoon, Burnley came back from a goal down in the final 10 minutes to move five points clear of the bottom three with a 2-1 win at Watford, which confirmed Norwich’s relegation.
Brighton strolled to victory at Wolves to set a new club record and deliver a hammer blow to the hosts’ European hopes, while Wilfried Zaha came off the bench to score a stoppage-time winner for Crystal Palace as they snatched a 2-1 win at Southampton.
Elsewhere, the family of football agent Mino Raiola confirmed he had died at the age of 54, tweeting he was the "most caring and amazing football agent" who "made us proud".

Back at home, Shelbourne are top of the Women's National League following a 5-0 win over Treaty United this afternoon.
They went above Dublin rivals Peamount United, who slipped up thanks to a 1-1 draw with Bohemians. Elsewhere DLR Waves beat Cork City 6-0.
Third-placed Wexford Youths and Galway United played out a 2-2 draw, while Athone Town beat Sligo Rovers 5-0.
GAA
The provincial football championships heated up today, with games in Ulster, Munster, Leinster and Connacht.
Limerick are into the semi-finals of the Munster Senior Football Championship after the most dramatic of circumstances this evening.
There was nothing to separate the side from Clare after the full-time whistle in Ennis, and the sides were level 1-19 to 2-16 after extra time - making it the first time a championship match has been decided on penalties.
James Naugton scored the all-important spot kick to send his side into the last four.
Elsewhere Tipperary booked their place in the semi-finals as they beat Waterford by 2-13 to 1-8.
Monaghan are into the semi-finals of the Ulster Senior Football Championship after beating Down by 23 points to 2-7 in Clones today. They will face either Tyrone or Derry in the last four.
Roscommon will play in the Connacht football final after they beat 14-man Sligo by 0-23 to 0-11 in their semi-final clash.
Dublin and Westmeath are into the next round of the Leinster Championship, after wins over Wexford and Longford respectively.

Katie Taylor will help make history in the small hours of the morning as she faces Amanda Serrano in the first all-female fight to headline New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Taylor has promised a career-best performance befitting of the occasion, with the undisputed world lightweight champion putting all her belts on the line against the Puerto Rican seven-weight champion.

Six-time winner Ronnie O'Sullivan is through to the World Snooker Championship final after beating John Higgins.
The Rocket won 17-11 to set-up a title decider with Judd Trump, who edged past Mark Williams in the other last four tie.
Victory for O'Sullivan would see him equal Stephen Hendry's record of seven titles.
Rugby
Leinster have been confirmed as top seeds for the URC playoffs despite their loss to the Stormers this evening. The homeside coming out on top 20-13, but the losing bonus point was enough to see Leinster through.
Elsewhere Connacht were beaten by the Cell C Sharks in South Africa by 41 points to 21, while Ulster held on to beat Edinburgh by 16 points to 10 in Scotland.
Ireland meanwhile finished their TikTok Women's Six Nations campaign second from bottom in the table, beating Scotland 15-14 at Kingspan Stadium this evening. A last-minute try from Enya Breen was enough for the homeside to pick up the victory.
England were crowned Grand Slam champions after a 24-12 win away to France while Italy finished their tournament with a 10-8 win over Wales.
Racing
The curtain came down on the National Hunt season at Punchestown today.
The latest of the eight races, the Palmerstown House Pat Taaffe Handicap Chase, went to the favourite Donkey Years with Mark Walsh on board for winning trainer Eric McNamara.
