Mayo have claimed their first league win over Dublin in a decade as they dismissed Dessie Farrell’s listless charges with relative ease in Croke Park.
The sides faced off in the Allianz Football League this evening in a repeat of last season’s All-Ireland semi-final, finishing Mayo 2-11 Dublin 0-12.
James Horan's side join Armagh at the top of the Division 1 table, while Dublin remain bottom and are now in a relegation fight.
In the other top flight game, Armagh and Monaghan finished level as Armagh continued their unbeaten start to the season. It finished 1-7 to 0-10 at the Athletic Ground despite Monaghan going down to 14 men when Conor McManus was shown a straight red card.
In the third flight, Antrim drew level with leaders Limerick with a win over Wicklow this afternoon, with it finishing 2-10 to 1-7 at Corrigan Park. Carlow beat Waterford 2-12 to 2-08 at Netwatch Cullen Park in the fourth tier.
In the Ladies Football League Dublin beat Cork 2-15 to 2-03, while matches between Sligo and Down and Clare and Kerry were postponed.
The AIB All-Ireland Club Camogie semi-final between Galway's Sarsfields and Slaughtneil of Derry was also called off, while in the Littlewoods Ireland Camogie League Tipp continued to dominate and Galway got off to a good start.
In hurling, UL came from behind to win their seventh Fitzgibbon Cup final, 1-21 to 2-15. Mike Kiely got the winning goal in the 63rd minute after Cian Lynch was sent off for NUI Galway.
Soccer
Liverpool have closed the gap on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League to six points, as Mohammed Salah became just the tenth player to reach 150 Premier League goals.
Jurgen Klopp's side came from a goal down to beat Norwich 3-1 at Anfield, with goals from Mane, Salah and Luis Diaz giving the home side all three points.
Meanwhile, City were beaten 3-2 by Tottenham in a thriller at the Etihad. The Londoners had twice led before Harry Kane got the winner in the 95th minute.
Norwich now drop to the bottom of the table after Burnley's 3-0 hammering of Brighton and Watford's late win 1-0 over Aston Villa.
Arsenal are just a point off the top four after they beat Brentford 2-1, while Chelsea scored an 89th-minute-goal for 1-0 win over Crystal Palace. Shane Long came off the bench to score with his first touch for Southampton, who beat Everton 2-0.
Earlier today, West Ham missed the chance to go back into the Premier League's top four after being held 1-0 at home to Newcastle. They remain a point outside the Champions League places in fifth.

Republic of Ireland lost 1-0 to Russia in the Pinatar Cup semi-final in La Manga, Spain. However, Vera Pauw’s side have the consolation of a third place play off in the friendly tournament.
Tonight's SSE Airtricity League Premier Division match between Sligo Rovers and Bohemians has been postponed. The decision was made following a pitch inspection at the Showgrounds this morning.
Rugby
Leinster are back on top of the Rugby Championship table after a bonus win against Ospreys. It finished 29-7 at the RDS with tries from Jordan Larmour, Cian Healy, James Lowe Scott Penny.
Meanwhile, Connacht held on for a well fought 29-26 win against Scarlets in Wales. Tries by Sam Arnorld and Mata Fifita helped the province turn around after an 11-point deficit, with the Irish side reduced to 14 men late on when Leva Fifita picked up a second yellow card.
Cricket
Ireland have beaten Bahrain by 21 runs in their T-20 Cricket World Cup qualifier.
Andy Balbirnie's side finished on 158 after their 20 overs this morning and restricted Bahrain to just 137 in response. Gareth Delany top scored with 51 runs.
Winter Olympics
Ireland's Thomas Maloney Westgaard has finished 29th in the Cross-Country Skiing 50km Mass Start Free at the Winter Olympics in Beijing.
The 26-year-old says he was happy to register a top-30 finish in the event, which had been his pre-Games target.
Russia’s Alexander Bolshunov claimed the gold medal.
