Shamrock Rovers are eight points clear of Bohemians at the top of the League of Ireland Premier Division following a comfortable 3-0 victory over Cork City at Turner's Cross today.
Aaron Greene scored a brace before Neil Farrugia added the third goal to seal all three points for Rovers.
The result leaves Cork in danger as they languish in ninth place, one point ahead of bottom of the table Finn Harps.
Greene headed a Jack Byrne cross home to give Rovers the lead after 17 minutes.

He added his second headed goal just before the half-time interval.
Substitute Farrugia scored a brilliant goal to seal the three points for Rovers, this was their ninth victory of the season, having drawn their other two games.
All attention will now turn towards European action as Rovers prepare for their huge Europa League qualifying clash against AC Milan on Thursday.
Rovers will take on the the seven-time European Cup winners at Tallaght Stadium.
The Europa League second round qualifying clash will be played behind closed doors but it will be shown live on both RTÉ 2 and the RTÉ Player.
