Shamrock Rovers claimed four extra points after a decisive win over Sligo Rovers at Tallaght Stadium tonight.
A opening goal from Ronan Finn in the 13th minute got the homeside off to a perfect start, taking charge of the game from the get-go.
Graham Burke claimed the second first-half goal for Shamrock Rovers in the 38th minute, doubling the task ahead for the visitors.

After the break, there was little improvement on Sligo's part, compounded by a 58th minute goal from Jack Byrne before Dylan Billy Watts put the game to bed in the 77th minute.
Shamrock Rovers are now 11-points clear of Bohemians at the top of the SSE Airtricity Premier Division table.
Elsewhere, Derry City also got a much-needed win this evening after Conor Clifford netted twice from the penalty spot to overcome Waterford at home.
Derry City sit in sixth, while Waterford shadow Bohs in third.
We’ve been hurting something serious the last few weeks with some late sucker punches. Great to get the win our performance deserved tonight. Now to kick on right until the end of the season #RAWA 🔴⚪️
