Dublin have won their first All-Ireland football title since 2020 1-15 to 1-13 win over Kerry in today's final.

The sides were level eight times through the game, with late points from Paul Mannion and Dean Rock helping Dublin to victory.

Swimming

Daniel Wiffen has narrowly missed out on a medal in the 1500m freestyle final at the World Aquatics Championships in Japan.

Wiffen was the second-ranked swimmer going into the final, but came home in fourth behind Ahmed Hafnaoui (Tunisia), Bobby Finke (USA) and Samuel Short (Australia).

Soccer

Republic of Ireland manager Vera Pauw says there should be more certainty surrounding her future as manager.

Pauw's contract is set to expire following the conclusion of the World Cup campaign.

Ireland play Nigeria on Monday in their final showing of the tournament, after two losses in their first two games ensured they would not progress to the knockout stage.

Pauw says she wants to stay in the role for the Euro 2025 qualifying campaign.

Leona Maguire hashas finished on one-over-par at the Evian Championship in France after a final round of 75.

Celine Boutier's lead is now down to four shots on 13-under-par with five holes to play.

Stephanie Meadow finished on six-over-par after a final round of 69.

Padraig Harrington's final round at the Senior Open Championship in Wales is underway.

The Dubliner is a shot off the lead on one-over-par, with Germany's Alex Cejka out in front on level par.

Defending champion Darren Clarke is 12-over overall after 12 holes, while Damian Mooney finished on 19-over-par.

F1

Reigning World Champion Max Verstappen is running in first at the Belgian Grand Prix despite starting from sixth.

His Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez is running in second, followed by Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton.
