Liverpool manager Arne Slot insists they will be taking nothing for granted when they travel to Southampton in the Premier League this afternoon.

It is top versus bottom - with the Merseysiders knowing a win would take them eight points clear at the summit.

Later, in the Ulster club football semi-finals, Tyrone champions Errigal Ciaran face Clann Eireann of Armagh from a quarter-past-three at Pairc Esler in Newry.


The first of Sunday's Leinster senior club hurling semi-finals throws in shortly.

After their win over Thomastown last week, Westmeath's Castletown Geoghegan face Kilcormac Killoughey of Offaly in Mullingar.

The action gets underway at a quarter past one at Cusack Park.

From 3pm at Parnell Park, Na Fianna of Dublin take on St Martin's of Wexford.

Max Verstappen has been crowned Formula One World Champion.

He secured his fourth title in a row by finishing fifth at the Las Vegas Grand Prix ahead of rival Lando Norris - who came sixth.

The race was won by Britain's George Russell ahead of his Mercedes team mate Lewis Hamilton.

Ferrari's Carlos Sainz was third.

Sunday's action is underway at Punchestown.

The feature is the John Durkan Memorial Chase, which goes to post at 2.25pm.

The Martin Brassil-trained 'Fastorslow' looks set to go off the favourite ahead of 'Galopin Des Champs'.
