Some viewers have complained about RTÉ's decision to air the Republic of Ireland women's Euro 2025 qualifier against England on RTÉ 2 over a Champions League game.
On Tuesday evening, Ireland will play England at the Aviva Stadium with kick-off at 7:30pm. Meanwhile, the Champions League fixture between Manchester City vs Real Madrid starts at 8pm with coverage starting at 7:45pm.
Due to the two games clashing, RTÉ made the decision to air the Ireland game on RTÉ Two over the Man City game. Instead, the Champions League fixture will be available to watch on RTÉ Player and the News Now channel from 7:55pm.

While many fans understood the decision, others took to X to express their disappointment with the decision.
Some gave out about the biggest club fixture in the world being "relegated" to the news channel as opposed to RTÉ Two.
Others argued that if it was another English team that has more of a following in Ireland, like Manchester United or Liverpool as opposed to Manchester City, they would not have decided to favour the international match.
There were also those who argued on social media that RTÉ would not have made the same decision if it was a League of Ireland game that clashed with a Champions League tie.
