The latest figures from the Irish Midwives and Nurses Organisation (INMO) show there is 567 people waiting for a bed in Irish hospitals on Monday.
401 patients are waiting in the emergency department, while 166 are in wards elsewhere in the hospital.

The hospital with the highest amount of patients on trolleys is University Hospital Limerick, with 110 patients waiting for a bed.
There is 46 people in the emergency department, with 64 people elsewhere in the hospital.
In Cork University Hospital, there is 81 people waiting for a bed, with 69 people in the emergency department.
There is 42 people waiting for a bed in Sligo University Hospital, with 18 patients in the emergency department.
