Weather
Ireland could experience record temperatures on Monday with some models suggesting highs close to 34 degrees.
The highest temperature ever recorded in Ireland was 33.3 degrees at Kilkenny Castle in June 1887.
That record is now under threat, with a Met Éireann warning that temperatures of 32 degrees and possibly above are likely on Monday and Tuesday, before cooler air moves in.
The forecaster has issued a nationwide status yellow warning for "exceptionally warm weather", valid from 6am on Sunday until 9pm on Tuesday.
Refugees
Ukrainians arriving into Ireland are being forced to sleep on blow-up mattresses in an old Dublin Airport terminal as the Citywest Transit Hub is at capacity with a tented camp catering for up to 200 people due to open at Gormanston, Co Meath, on Monday.
However, around 70 per cent of those at Citywest are not Ukrainians and are part of the wider international protection system.
It is understood the Government will move ahead with deportations, stricter airport controls and a fast-tracking of the asylum decision-making process to address the spike in the number of non-Ukrainians seeking protection here.

The global drinks giant said it will be Ireland's first purpose-built carbon-neutral brewery on a greenfield site, with the facility brewing lagers and ales including Rockshore, Harp, Hop House 13, Smithwick’s, Kilkenny and Carlsberg.
