Google eyes up Boland's Mill site
Google is understood to be in discussions to buy the historic Boland's Mills site in Dublin's Docklands.
The landmark building, which was at the centre of fighting during the 1916 Easter Rising, is controlled by Nama.
The Boland's Mill site was bought by developer Sean Kelly for €42m during the boom, with plans to build apartments, offices and retail unit.
However, the downturn scuppered the scheme and Nama appointed Savills as receivers to Kelly's company.
So far Google has spent around €1bn in Ireland over the last decade between buildings and staffing costs.
