Marks and Spencers today launched its Irish-specific website enabling customers here to have online purchases with the retailer delivered to their homes.

Marks and Spencers today launched its Irish-specific website enabling customers here to have online purchases with the retailer delivered to their homes.

The company said the new site is part of a srategy announced in November 2010 to become a leading International, multi-channel retailer by setting up tailored websites for specific local markets.

Its first international website, www.marksandspencer.fr, launched in October 2011

Over 10,000 clothing and homeware products are available for online purchase on the Irish site,

One of the UK's leading retailers, M&S has 21 stores in the Republic of Ireland.

Its first Itish store opened on Mary St in Dublin in November 1979.
