The Western Michigan Broncos decided they wanted to do something memorable for their most important fan John Mulhearn when he visited pre-season practice this week.
John, who is wheelchair-bound, is the son of former 1980s Broncos linebacker Sean Mulhearn. The duo were watching the team do situational drills when the team decided to invite them to take part.
John lined up as running back and took the snap from Broncos quarterback Zach Terrell.
John was pushed along by his loving father as he weaved his way through defenders, leaving them in his wake and as he crossed into the end zone the entire Broncos team celebrated with father and son.
We thought it was an incredibly nice gesture from the team and one that deserved to be highlighted.
The video is entitled “A touchdown worth more than points” and we couldn’t think of a more fitting title ourselves.
Go John and go Broncos!
