Couple post selfie after finalising divorce
In a rather unusual twist on the ‘selfie’ craze a Florida couple have taken a snap of themselves after sealing their divorce.
Keith Hinson and Michelle Knight from Orlando officially ended their three-year marriage last Friday and decided to take the picture so that their family and friends wouldn’t feel awkward around them.
As you can tell the split is completely amicable and their divorce settlement requires the couple to keep seeing each other to care for their dog.
Posting the selfie on Instagram Keith captioned the picture with the message: “We are officially un-married. Here's to the most friendly, respectful, and loving split imaginable. We smile not because it's over, but because it happened”.
Speaking to the Huffington Post Hinson added, “Michelle and I have a good sense of humor about this and we also wanted to let people know that this didn't have to be a negative experience.
“We are choosing to move forward with love. We've been separated a year, and throughout that time, we've both been committed to preserving our friendship.”
Fair play guys, nice to see they are still friends.
