Varadkar meets Tonight Show host and 'absolute gentleman' Jimmy Fallon in New York
Leo Varadkar met Jimmy Fallon on the set of The Tonight Show while in New York this week.
The Taoiseach is in the US for the United Nations climate action summit and explained he was meeting with US network NBC about "production opportunities" here.
In a post on Instagram, Mr Varadkar wrote: "Live from New York!
"Had a very good meeting with NBC in NYC about production opportunities in Ireland.
"Also had the pleasure of meeting Jimmy Fallon, an absolute gentleman who’s very proud of his Irish heritage. "
Mr Fallon, 45, has been host of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon since 2014.
He has Irish roots with ancestors hailing from Galway.
