A 92-year-old woman is in a critical condition following a gas explosion at her home in Ringsend, Dublin last night.

A 92-year-old woman is in a critical condition following a gas explosion at her home in Ringsend, Dublin last night.

The incident happened at O'Rahilly House flats at around 10:30pm.

The pensioner suffered burns and was taken to St Vincent's Hospital.

Gardai at Irishtown are investigating, however its believed that she may have left a gas ring on.
