Gardaí appeal for witnesses after two shot in Dublin pub

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after two gunmen opened fire in a Dublin city centre pub last night, injuring two other men.

The shooting happened at Oil Can Harry's pub on Lower Mount Street at around 10pm.

Two men, aged 19 and 20, were wounded and taken to St Vincent's Hospital. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The gunmen made their getaway in a dark-coloured car in the direction of Ballsbridge.

The scene has been sealed off this morning as gardaí carry out a technical examination and an investigation is underway.

One man living in the area said: "I live just around the corner…There seems to be a lot of tensions around here, around the Pearse Street area, lately. I don't understand why, but it's there anyway."
