Taxi drivers force way into regulator's office for sit-in

Three members of the Irish Taxi Council are staging a sit-in protest at the office of the Taxi Regulator in Dublin.

Three members of the Irish Taxi Council are staging a sit-in protest at the office of the Taxi Regulator in Dublin.

Around 40 other taxi drivers are also involved in a demonstration outside the office on Fitzwilliam Square.

A spokesperson for the Taxi Regulator says a small group of drivers forced their way in the building this afternoon.

Gardaí are at the scene monitoring the situation.
