Firefighters were called after a taxi caught fire in Dublin city centre today.

Firefighters were called after a taxi caught fire in Dublin city centre today.

A unit of the Dublin Fire Brigade arrived at Parnell Street at around 2.30pm and began containing the fire.

The incident, which happened near the Capel Street end of Parnell Street, is not thought to have resulted in any injuries.

The fire has since been brought under control, and traffic restrictions have begun to ease.
