Dublin and counties in the mid-east region saw the highest rises in Live Register figures last month, according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office.

Dublin and counties in the mid-east region saw the highest rises in Live Register figures last month, according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office.

The month of July saw a further 6,236 people signing on for social welfare benefits.

Kildare, Meath and Wicklow experienced a 6.8% rise in Live Register numbers, while in Dublin, the figures rose by 6.1%.
