Joleon Lescott’s 27th-minute header gave Everton a 1-0 half-time lead in their FA Cup fourth round Merseyside derby against Liverpool at Anfield.

Against the run of play Tim Cahill nodded on a corner and the unmarked centre-back diverted the ball past Jose Reina from close range.
