Man charged with serious assault after Dublin stabbing

A 20-year-old man has appeared in court in Dublin charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in Dublin on Saturday morning.

A 20-year-old man has appeared in court in Dublin charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man in Dublin on Saturday morning.

Mark Spellman, who was 26 and from Dalkey, died after receiving stab wounds in a row on Londonbridge Road in Sandymount.

In Dublin District Court this morning, a man from Irishtown in Dublin was charged with serious assault, and possession of a weapon.

He was remanded in custody to appear in court on August 10.
