Senior officials within Fine Gael will meet in Dublin today to formulate policy for a new nationwide recruitment campaign.

Senior officials within Fine Gael will meet in Dublin today to formulate policy for a new nationwide recruitment campaign.

The campaign to attract new members around the country will formally get underway next month.

It has been 10 months since Fine Gael lost out in the elections. Party seats went from 54 to 31 and only three TDs were retained in Dublin.

After initial investigations, Fine Gael now say that they are going for a boost in their membership.

Activists at local level will be encouraged to reach out to lapsed members - women and young voters in particular.
