There were angry scenes at a north county Dublin court this afternoon, where several men were due to appear on drugs charges.

Eleven people were arrested during garda raids in the Coolock area this morning. So far, two men have been charged and remanded in custody.

Only two men finally appeared before the judge today on drugs possession charges. Both were remanded in custody with consent to bail. They were also ordered to sign on daily at Coolock garda station.

The pair are due to reappear before the same court on July 25.
