3V saw off competition from 700 private companies to be named among the region’s top 100 industry innovators by editorial staff at Red Herring Magazine, a global publication focussed on the best in innovation, technology, finance and entrepreneurial activity.

The Red Herring award is a significant achievement for Dublin based 3V whose innovative online shopping payment solution has been available in the Ireland since October 2005 and who launched its UK offer in 2006.

3V, which plans to expand into the German market in 2007, was rigorously evaluated through a careful analysis of financial data and subjective criteria including quality of management, execution of strategy and dedication to research and development to earn its position among the Red Herring 100.

Kieron Guilfoyle, chief executive of 3V commented: "We are absolutely delighted to win the Red Herring 100 Europe award which recognizes both our innovative product offering and the team’s proven expertise at marketing and managing a successful business."
