Mayo 3-16 Westmeath 1-08

Mayo sent Paidí O’Sé's Westmeath down a division and in doing so, earned a semi-final berth in this year's Allianz NFL Division One finale.

Goals from Conor Moran and Andy Moran helped the home side into a 2-06 to 1-03 lead early on, as they answered back Denis Glennon's opening netbuster for the visitors.

The westerners went 2-10 to 1-03 in front by the interval as Padden, Patrick Harte and Conor Mortimer all pointing.

Mayo kept their momentum going into the second half - despite a silly red card for Liam O'Malley in first half injury-time.

Ciaran McDonald's penalty hit pushed the 14 men further clear after the break and Andy Moran wrapped up the win nicely with his fifth point of the afternoon on 72 minutes.

Mayo now meet Armagh in the Division One semi-finals - to be played on the weekend of April 17.
