A 32-year-old man has been killed in a fire at a caravan in Co Monaghan this morning.

A 32-year-old man has been killed in a fire at a caravan in Co Monaghan this morning.

The blaze broke out at the back of a halting site on Jubilee Road in Clones at around 9am.

The man's body has now been removed to the Mater Hospital in Dublin for a full post-mortem examination.

The Garda forensic team has arrived at the scene, which remains sealed off this afternoon.

It is believed the fire started accidentally.
